On December 12th, MOBILIsE held the first ‘Open Days for the Clinics‘, hosting Prof Dr Ricardo Sousa, an orthopaedist and researcher specialized in osteoarticular infections, from Hospital S. António, Porto and CUF Porto, currently the President of the European Bone and Joint Infection Society (EBJIS) for the biennium 2024-2025.
During the ‘Open for the Clinics‘ meetings, healthcare professionals, including physicians, visit the INEB/i3S to present their work and discuss clinical requirements in their respective fields. Alongside, i3S researchers showcase their ongoing projects in Molecular Bioengineering, or related field, and discuss possible collaborative projects with the invited professional(s).
In this first event, 15 researchers from different i3S research groups and platforms, joined the meeting to try to find synergies with the work performed by Dr Ricardo and his team, and discuss possible future collaborations in one-to-one discussions.
