The visit of Prof Jeffrey Hubbell from New York University, USA, at i3S, caught the attention of journalist Tiago Ramalho from PÚBLICO – a leading Portuguese newspaper, who took the opportunity to interview him.
In this insightful interview, Prof. Hubbell discusses his work on “inverse” vaccines for treating autoimmune diseases (e.g. Celiac Disease) and food allergies, and also the current situation of the scientific research field in the US. The conversation took place during Prof Hubbell’s visit to i3S, where he joined us as a plenary speaker at our inaugural Symposium in Molecular Bioengineering (16th – 18th Jun 2025), following an invitation from our ERA Chair holder, Helena Azevedo.
