MOBILIsE researchers participate at i3S activity “Ciencia et al”

MOBILIsE project researchers have been actively contributing to the educational program of i3S – ‘Ciencia et al’.
This time, the ‘Era uma vez … o osso!’ initiative was welcomed by Escola Básica de Costa Cabral in Porto, where our team engaged with 4th-grade students through exciting hands-on activities.

‘Era uma vez … o osso!’ brings together a set of experiences about the bone, its function, composition, problems, and medical strategies for treating bone diseases. The main objectives of this initiative are: i) to promote experimental science education; ii) to provide an interactive understanding of the skeletal system and bones; iii) to convey the concept that bone is a living and active tissue that grows, develops, renews, and regenerates; and iv) to introduce the concept of biomaterials and their use in treating bone-related issues.
