Cristina Martins, the coordinator of the MOBILIsE project, was featured in the 5th edition of the book Women in Science. Released on International Women’s Day, March 8, 2025, by Ciência Viva to honor Portuguese women scientists, this volume brings together 107 portraits of female researchers from different generations, fields of knowledge, and regions of the world.
With this initiative, Ciência Viva pays tribute to Portuguese women scientists, who represent 45% of the total researchers in the country and whose remarkable work has been fundamental to the progress that national Science and Technology have achieved in recent decades. From Biology to Mathematics, Chemistry to Social Sciences, Physics to Archaeology, Neurosciences to Geography, Engineering to History, and Space Sciences to Philosophy, Women in Science highlights more than five hundred female researchers and just as many success stories that have significantly contributed to the integration of science into Portuguese society.
