A month of learning and collaboration

A month of learning and collaboration: Four MOBILIsE Molecular Bioengineering Seminars at i3S!

In just five weeks, MOBILIsE hosted four engaging seminars that brought together researchers to discuss emerging topics, share insights, and explore innovative solutions in Molecular Bioengineering.

We began on September 19th with a talk by Prof Takahiro Muraoka – Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, JP, who presented his work on the use of self-assembling peptides for brain tissue regeneration. On October 13th, Dr Bart Spee – Utrecht University, NL,  captivated the audience with an overview into liver bioengineering, taking us on a journey from microphysiological systems all the way to the ambitious dream of creating entire organs. Just one day later, it was a full house to hear Prof. César de la Fuente – University of Pennsylvania, USA, who shared groundbreaking insights into how AI is accelerating antibiotics discovery! We concluded on October 24th, with Prof John Rogers -Northwestern University, USA, an expert and innovator in biosensing technology with applications in health monitoring

During their visit, our invited speakers also met with i3S scientists and young researchers to explore opportunities for future collaboration. We are thrilled with the enthusiastic participation and valuable discussions that took place. These visits not only strengthen our network but also expand the possibilities for future partnerships.

Thank you to all our speakers and participants for making this series a success!
