Helena Azevedo has been elected Trustee of the International Society for Hyaluronan Sciences for a four-year term, starting in January 2026.
ISHAS is a scientific organisation dedicated to advancing knowledge on the structure, function, and therapeutic applications of hyaluronan (hyaluronic acid). ISHAS promotes research, supports scientists with grants, and organises the International Hyaluronic Acid Meeting, every other year. In May 2027, Helena will host this event in Porto, Portugal.
